We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chief Investment Officer for our Florida developer operation. Projects include large commercial, multifamily, and light industrial buildings both in Florida and across the nation. The CIO will oversee and manage our investment strategies and portfolio. You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities that align with our company's objectives and financial goals. This role requires a deep understanding of real estate markets, investment analysis, and financial modeling, as well as strong leadership and communication skills. Strong relationships with banks, investors, and institutions and the ability to raise capital and manage fund structures is a strong value driver of the role. Responsibilities: 1. Develop and implement investment strategies that drive portfolio growth and maximize returns while managing risk effectively. 2. Lead the evaluation and due diligence process for potential investment opportunities, including conducting financial analysis, market research, and feasibility studies. 3. Negotiate and structure real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and financing arrangements. 4. Build and maintain relationships with investors, lenders, brokers, and other industry professionals to source and secure investment opportunities. 5. Provide leadership and guidance to the investment team, including setting performance goals, monitoring progress, and providing mentorship and development opportunities. 6. Monitor and analyze market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory developments to inform investment decisions and strategy adjustments. 7. Prepare and present investment proposals, business plans, and financial reports to senior management, board members, and investors. 8. Collaborate with other departments, such as development, asset management, and finance, to ensure alignment and integration of investment activities with overall business objectives. 9. Stay current on industry best practices, emerging trends, and innovative investment strategies to maintain a competitive advantage in the market. Qualifications: 1. Prefer a Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, business administration, or a related field; MBA or CFA designation. 2. Proven track record of success in real estate investment management, with at least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role. 3. Deep knowledge of real estate markets, investment analysis, financial modeling, and valuation techniques. 4. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals. 5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 6. Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to make data-driven decisions. 7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy. 8. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines. 9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and real estate investment software/tools. We will relocate from anywhere within the USA.
