We are seeking an experienced President to direct construction operations and lead field and management teams for a rapidly expanding commercial asphalt paving company based in the Detroit market. This executive role is central to driving operational performance, developing talent, and advancing long-term growth within the asphalt services sector. Position Overview The President will be responsible for guiding day-to-day asphalt paving operations while shaping strategic initiatives that strengthen productivity, efficiency, and market presence. This role plays a vital part in maintaining high service standards across all commercial paving activities. Key Responsibilities Report to senior ownership while managing all asphalt paving operations and associated personnel Oversee a broad range of projects, from routine paving and maintenance to complex rehabilitation programs Drive high-output production across asphalt services by refining processes and performance benchmarks Lead operational planning, workforce development, and execution strategies to support sustained expansion Ensure operational consistency, safety, and quality across multiple project sizes and locations Candidate Requirements Required: At least 10 years of senior operations leadership experience within asphalt paving, infrastructure services, or a closely related construction discipline Demonstrated success managing high-volume, deadline-driven asphalt operations with a strong focus on quality control Effective leadership and people-management skills, including team building, conflict resolution, and organizational oversight Proven ability to deliver projects on schedule and within budget while encouraging collaboration and continuous improvement Ideal Backgrounds We are open to candidates who are: Established executives with deep experience in the asphalt paving industry, or High-potential leaders ready to step into a presidential role Relocation support is available for qualified candidates nationwide. Local market experience is helpful but not required.
